The Adramytine (Olea europaea var. media subrotunda) is cultivated in Evoia, Andros, Hios and Mytiline. It is known as Mytilinia and Fragolia.  It reaches 8 meters high and it is sensitive to Dacos and cancer and tolerates the cold that exists in 600 meters high. Its comprehensiveness in oil is about 22-25%. The olive oil has a wonderful aroma. It is also used as a table olive.

The Valanolia (Olea europaea var. pylriformis) is cultivated in Hios, Skyros and Mytiline. It is called Mytilinia, Valana and Kolovi. This olive tree is cultivated up to 500 meters height and it is not a demanding tree. With the right cultivation the production is big. The olive fruit when is ripened is medium mauve and weighs 3 to 5 grams. The comprehensiveness in oil is 25-30%. The olive oil is of high quality, has a strong aroma and a great taste. This variety is one of the best in our country.

Lianolia Kerkyras (Corfu) (Olea europaea var.craneomorpha) is cultivated in the Ionian islands and the coast of Eperos. It is known as striftolia, Dafnophylli, Nerolia, Ladolia and Corfiatiki. It can grow on rocky grounds, but needs a lot of moist. It needs good pruning to rejuvenate and grow continuously to reach 20 meters high that makes it very difficult to harvest. The fruit is small and weighs about 1 gram. Its comprehensiveness in olive oil is about 20% and the quality is outstanding. It can grow on infertile grounds, but needs humid climates. It is sensitive to Dacos.

Myrtolia (Olea europaea var.microcarpa sabrotunda) is cultivated in Laconia. Its known as Mourtolia. It is a strong tree with a skiny trunk and big endurance to cold and drought. It can grow up to 900 meters high. It is sensitive to cancer. Its comprehensiveness in olive oil is about 25% and good quality.

Tsounaty (Olea europaea varmamilaris) is cultivated in Hania, Rethymnon, Messinia and Laconia. It is known as Mastolia or Matsolia. It can be cultivated up to 1,000 meters high. It prefers the calcareous soils and it is sensitive to Dacos. The olive tree is very tall and its trunk very thick. The fruit weighs 2 grams and its comprehensiveness in olive oil can reach the 25% and is of very good quality.
